Full-time Veterinary Assistant
Hourly wage PLUS signing BONUS
Location: Port Orchard, WA

What You’ll Do:

  • Assist with patient care, including restraint, urgent care cases, general surgery, and dentistry (e.g., extractions, spays/neuters, c-sections).

  • Educate clients based on their needs and doctor recommendations.

  • Maintain detailed patient records and collaborate with our team to deliver exceptional care.

  • Support lab tasks or medication administration as needed (training provided).

Who You Are:

  • Passionate about animals and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced setting.

  • Have strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.

  • Veterinary experience or terminology knowledge is a plus but not required.

  • Can lift 50 lbs. solo and are dedicated to compassionate care.

  • Certification as a Veterinary Technician is a plus but not required.

Full-time Licensed, Experienced Veterinary Technician

We are a privately owned small animal clinic, with in house laboratory, digital dental radiology, and a digital radiology suite. The hospital is a state of the art facility with a cozy at home feel. If you're looking to be part of a team practicing with compassion, a high standard of care, and utilizing the best of modern technology, this clinic is for you. We value technicians who work hard, are reliable and are easily adaptable. We need a person who is able to have strong leadership skills but also someone who integrates well into a team environment. Our ideal technician candidate has a true passion for the veterinary profession and enjoys educating clients on the best care for their pets. We want our clientele to understand that they have a veterinary team and technician, who they can trust.

Major responsibilities of the veterinary technician include:

  • Managing patient care, including urgent care cases.

  • Dental prophylaxis and dental radiology

  • Anesthetic induction and monitoring

  • Client communication

  • Being able to lift at least 40 pounds

  • Training and directing support staff to run the practice as smoothly as possible

  • Being a lead in the practice, modeling exceptional patient and client care, contributing to staff and team meetings and working with management to improve the process.

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: Monday through Friday. No Saturday shifts or on call shifts.

Required education: Associates degree

Required license or certification: Licensed Veterinary Technician

Experience required: At least 1 year
